Movement, the largest indoor climbing gym operator in North America, was formed through the mergers of Earth Treks (founded 1997), Planet Granite (founded 1994), Movement (founded 2009) and Summit (founded 2002) to create what is now a 24-gym platform with locations in the Bay Area, LA, DC/Baltimore/Virginia, Denver, Portland, Chicago and Dallas. Movement is committed to growing the climbing community through a shared vision for outstanding customer service, inspirational designs, and highly engaged communities. Movement gyms feature bouldering, top-roping and lead climbing, as well as amenities like yoga studios, functional fitness, and cardio zones, and retail pro shops. Movement enhances its members’ climbing experience through access to multiple in-market gyms, creating a uniquely differentiated value proposition in each market. In addition, the Company seeks to expand its footprint by opening high-quality gyms in new markets characterized by fast-growing climbing communities.
