Active Ride Shop Appoints Chris Miller to Board of Directors
Rancho Cucamonga, CA - January 22, 2015 - Active Ride Shop ("Active") and Tengram Capital Partners ("Tengram") are proud to announce that Chris Miller has joined the board of directors. From pro skateboarder to businessman, Miller has more than three decades experience in every aspect of the industry.
"Active Ride Shop is a staple in the SoCal skate and snow scene, and I am proud to join the board," said Chris Miller. "The company is in a strong position to continue to grow by adding more shops and expanding its ecommerce business in the coming years."
As Active Ride Shop takes action to make its growth plans a reality, the company will benefit from Miller's depth of skateboarding business knowledge. Currently Miller serves as the chief creative director for AlliSports and as an on-air analyst for the Dew Tour. In addition, Chris Miller continues to dominate skate contests today. He has won the Masters Division of the Vans Pool Party eight times, and is consistently the man to beat at Dew Tour Legends Bowl Jams. Miller founded several brands that have made a significant impact in the industry including Adio Footwear and Planet Earth Clothing.
Since 1989, Active has had a unique culture rooted in skateboarding and snowboarding. It started as one skate shop, created a sense of community and grew with the brands, skateboarders and people it supported.
